Tuesday, June 2

Beautiful faces and loud, empty places
Look at the way that we live(d)
Wastin' our time on cheap talk and wine
Left us so little to give
That same old crowd
Was like a cold dark cloud
That we could never rise above

This is another BIG day so I am going to say that we just may have passed mile marker 4 and are now headed toward mile marker 5.

Right now the adrenaline has surged and it almost makes you feel drunk. If you were drunk would you feel like you could keep running forever. Let me have another drink and I will let you know. (Just kidding it is a weeknight and I do have to work tomorrow).

I popped into the hospital around 11:45 this morning and I am so happy that when I was there the occupational therapist, Lana, made a visit. What a truly, truly, truly nice woman. After determining that I was the wife (or still am the wife) we started talking and this is what she says to me, "Did you know that Dean was standing up yesterday?" (I used the quotation marks because my homework last night was to grade one of Riley's essays on Davey Jones and he used quotations every time someone in the story said something and I was so impressed - Anyone impressed?) I know, I said exactly the same thing: STANDING UP are you SERIOUS. STANDING UP!!!!! Lana had come in the room to let Dean know she hadn't forgot about him and that she was coming to work with him around 1, maybe 2 since he was napping. The speech and physical therapists had both already been there. Lana said she was taking him to the gym so they could work on standing again. She said he is 50% standing on his own. Can you f _ _ _'n believe it????

So, I am back at work and then I get an email from Steve saying he stopped by to spend some time with Deano and that they put him in a chair and took him outside. Thanks for letting him use your cap. Great picture. Thank you.

I am driving home from the hospital this evening and I see that I have a message from Kyle Johnson telling me he went to visit Deano today and when he was there he got to see Deano in the gym STANDING UP. OMG!!!!! Thank you Kyle for being there :-)

But here in my heart I give you the best of my love
Oh sweet darlin' you get the best of my love

P.S. Thank you to everyone for the support and continued prayers. Please keep it coming. Look how far we've come.

P.S.S. Ricky Elliott we are missing you. Is everything okay with you????

P.S.S.S Hey Colorado Uncle Jim, my sight was Street Lights.

Hey Teri,
I'm still here! I read the blogs everyday. Teri, you write beautifully. Even when you don't write much your silence is a loud thunderous clap. When you do, you tell us of Dean's slow walk back to us as well as how you are doing. You should think about writting more and not just for the blog. You have a gift. I'll bet you never thought of how helpful to you this keeping us up to date was going to be.

We've read of your struggle with this horrible trauma in your life. I never knew you before and i knew Dean Henry from so long ago but, you've let us into your life and heart. We've seen you high with tears of joy and we've seen you with heart filled with dispair. You truely are a very special person. A strong, loving and lovely person. Well, you knew all that, Dean chose you over the other gazillion gals in the world.
Most of us go through life never understanding the things that will hit us so hard. But, when they do hit us we rise to the struggle. You've faced this with the strength of a hero in a Tolkien book. That's not to say you weren't afraid. You've shown us you've had fear confronting you. But, you've faced it strong and brave. You've given all of us that same strength and bravery. thank you! thank you very much for that.....

The picture of Dean on today's blog is fantastic! Look at Dean! Is it not just like Dean to sleep through this battle you've had? ha ha ha. Now he's awake. now he's standing. Soon he'll be talking....or is he already? Is he writting anything more with the red marker? is it jello yet? lol
i guess it's true you never know what you've got til it's gone...or threaten'd to be gone. May your hearts grow nearer and stronger with this struggle together.

My english are terrible! my grammer are terribler. Riley using quotation marks is really cool! Can you scan his report so that we all can read it? Davey Jones! cool! I'm a big history buff. Does he like history? what are his interests in school.

Well, talking the ears off the donkey again.........so i'll say so long for now. this time i'll leave you with some lyrics

It's not the way that you say it,
when you do those things to me
It's more the way you really mean it,
when you tell me what will be.....

whoever tells us the name of that song and the group will win a shout-out in uncle ricky's next blog.

Well so long for now from Seattle the vacation mecca of the northwest.....

I am please to see your faith being rejuvenated. Just keep remembering that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." Hebrews 13:8. With that being said, God is still in the miracle business. Jesus raised the dead, and healed the sick. Dean will be a testimony of goodness of God. Me and my congregation will continue to daily pray for him.

Hey Teri,
Just saw the picture of Dean. He looks great. Praise God for the continued healing of him. May you all feel blessed and comforted by his progress. Dear Lord, May you bless the whole Namba family with strength, courage and comfort. Thank you Lord for how good Dean looks and may you give him great strength to keep fighting in this journey. Please give the rest of the family strength and courage to continue to walk beside Dean and provide the support he needs. We pray this in Jesus' Name Amen God Bless you all!!!
