Saturday, May 16

Today I am on both an emotional high and low, at the same time (yes, I can do more than one thing at a time).

First the cause of the emotional high: Today found Deano very, very, very animated. He was tickled by so many things and obviously so. His mom caught him peeking down my top and when I told him "not in front of your Mom", I got to see that mischievous grin (just like old times) and I now know what a treat that is.

I promised Deano I would honor his "Sacred Place of Healing" and to share the cause of my emotional low would be to dishonor that place.

Suffice to say that the more visitors he can have through out the day and evening at random times to check in on him so he isn't lonely would be a really good thing.

So, please if you find yourself in that area, please just stop in and give him knuckles or a high 5 just to let him know we are all out here and waiting for him to return. This would be so helpful especially since May and Jim are flying back home on Tuesday evening after Riley's basketball game.

Still hang'n in there.............................

Hey Teri
Talked to Gary the other day and he mentioned that Nambs has been without his glasses. Sounds like he has them now and he's trying to "enjoy the view" when you are there. GO NAMBS! Seems like most days now he is proving to be in there trying to break out. I'm starting a list of things I can bust his stones about when I get there. That being said, thanks for tonight's blog. It's been noted!
Hags
He'd feel better if you told him you've started getting his power tools engraved with his name prior to my visit...

Hi Teri -

Isn't it amazing how relationships can be so enduring and far reaching? I've just learned of Dean's situation, from our old friend Doug H., who sent me your blog today. Dean, Doug, Ricky E. Jay Halle and many others of us go w-a-y back......little league sports, Junior High & High School, and College. Haven't seen Deano in years, but have been kept abreast of you all via Gary....our boys are in school and sports together here in Shoreline.

Teri, wow, what an incredibly challenging life situation Dean, you and Riley are going through. All who read your blog (I've just finished ready each day) can tell of your love and care for him and the very real challenges you're going through. What a fabulous example of living deeper in the rationship you have with your husband. I look forward to reading each day, to hearing more and more about Deano's recovery.

Know that my wife and kids will keep Dean, you and Riley in our prayers. As you and so many of your friends have expressed in these blogs and comments, God is indeed the source of all hope. Continue to lean into Him each and every day.....especially the tough ones!

Sure wish I was in the LA area to stop by and see Dean and meet you and Riley. Please give Dean a BIG hello from Kelly Miller. Let him know that Julie, Aaron, Emily, Claire and I will be praying for you all daily.

By the way....you are an AMAZING music lyrics library.....may you continue to enjoy The Who... :) !

An abundance of Peace to you,
Kelly Miller & Family

Wow Teri,
You really are getting very good at this! You tell us so much with just a sentence or a word. I'm sure like me we're all hanging on every word. every sentence.
I've heard of physical therapy. I've heard of occupational therapy.
But, i've never heard of visual therapy. Dean has a great grin! Isn't funny how things like this thing have to happen for us to really get shown those simple things that are the important things. I sure can use the word things alot in a sentence. smiles!
A caress of your hair. A fist bump. A grin. All wonderful things at the time but, even more wonderful with the promise of tomorrow that they send.
With the promise of tomorrow,
Ricky " Dean's Mischievous Grin" Elliott
